First, divide: 90 / 4.5 to find out how many cartons are packed in 1 hour.
90 / 4.5 = 20. So, 20 cartons are packed in 1 hour.
Multiply 20 x 8 hours to find out how many can be packed in 8 hours and you get 160 cartons.
