Question 684203: Solve the linear system by graphing. y=-3x+2 and y=x-2 I got many solutions if that is right. But how do i figure out the points on the line that represetnts a solution? Thank you for your help. Answer by ReadingBoosters(3246) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Set them equal to each other to find where they intersect
-3x + 2 = x- 2
-3x - x = -2 - 2
-4x = -4
x = 1
Plug in x into either linear equation and solve for y
y = -3(1) + 2 = -3 + 2 = -1
(1, -1) is the solution
