You can put this solution on YOUR website!
need help with substitution. The equations are:
y=2x-2 and y=x+2
----
Since both of those expressions are "y"
substitute for y to get:
x+2 = 2x-2
x = 4
--------------------------
Solve for "y":
y = x+2
y = 4+2
y = 6

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(1) ++y+=+2x+-+2+
(2) +y+=+x+%2B+2+
Substitute y in (2) for y in (1)
+x+%2B+2+=+2x+-+2+
Subtract x from both sides
+2+=+2x+-+2+
Add 2 to both sides
+4+=+2x+
Divide both sides by 2
++x+=+2+
Now replace x in (1) with x+=+2
+y+=+2%2A2+-+2+
+y+=+4+-+2+
+y+=+2+
