To add fraction, you need a common denominator.
The least common denominator of 5 and 15 is 15.
Multiply the first fraction by (3/3) to get a denominator of 15.

find the Least common denominator: in this instance it would be 15. Write each term with 15 in the denomintor.....2nd term is done....1st term needs to be multiplied by 3 top and bottom. We can now add them because they are like terms
:
(12/15)+(8/15)=20/15=4/3
