Then 

Cross multiply to get

(x-3)*(x+6) = (x+2)*(x-4)  ====>

x^2 + 3x - 18 = x^2 -2x - 8  ====>

5x = 10  ====>  x = 10%2F5 = 2.

Answer. The only solution is x = 2.
