the word RATIO?  Look at this:

The numerator of the FRACTION A%2FB and its denominator are 
always in the RATIO %22A%3AB%22.

So the RATIO %226%3A24%22 is equivalent to the FRACTION 6%2F24 which reduces
to 1%2F4, and the FRACTION 1%2F4 is equivalent to the ratio %221%3A4%22.
