Question 1042750: this is physics: A typical jetliner lands at a speed of 1.60 x 10^2 mph and decelerates at the rate of 4.47 m/s^2. if the plane travels at a constant speed for 1.0 s after landing before applying the brakes, what is the total displacement of the aircraft between touchdown on the runway and coming to rest? You can put this solution on YOUR website! .
It is a bad style to mix different systems of units (mph, from one side, and , from the other side) in one problem.
I was going to help you in solving this problem, but stopped when saw it.
Surely, I can easily convert everything to uniform units, but don't want to participate in solution of a bad style formulated problem.
Also, writing "1.60 x 10^2 mph" seems to be very unprofessional in this context.
