a+-+6%2Fa+%2B+15+=+2a%2F2a+%2B+6

2a%2F2a is 1. Therefore, a+-+6%2Fa+%2B+15+=+2a%2F2a+%2B+6 becomes: a+-+6%2Fa+%2B+15+=+1+%2B+6. Are you sure this is how the problem was stated?

a%5E2+-+6+%2B+15a+=+7a ------ Multiplying by LCD, a

a%5E2+%2B+15a+-+7a+-+6+=+0

a%5E2+%2B+8a+-+6+=+0

You can use the quadratic equation to solve, but for some reason, I believe that the problem was incorrectly stated. If so, say so in the thank-you note and I will redo.
