Question 327967: solve using addition and multiplication principles
3+6x<45
Answer by ganeshindia(11) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Given that 3+6x<45.
3+6x-3<45-3 (subtract 3 on both sides. this wont affect the inequality)
This gives, 6x<42.
(6x/6)<(42/6) (Divide by 6 on both sides. Division by a positive quantity will not affect the inequality, but if you divide by a negative quantity, the inequality will change the direction.)
This gives, x<7.
The solution is x=6,5,4,3,2,1,0,-1,-2,....
