You can put this solution on YOUR website! There are two groups of people who get the amount of money, which is $200,000
Group 1: 2 people, each get 1/8 of $200,000, so this group will get a total of 2*(1/8)*$200,000 = $50,000. So, there are $200,000 - $50,000 = $150,000 ledt. This amount of money will be contributed to group 2. (*)
Group 2: let x the number of people in group 2, each of these will get 1/16th of the $200,000, and this group gets a total of x*(1/16)*$200,000 = x*$12,500. According to (*), this group will get a total of $150,000, therefore we have: x*$12,500 = $150,000 or x = 12 (people).
So, there are 12 people, each of these receives 1/16th of $200,000.
