Question 52398: I have a three part problem. But I have the answer to the first part and to the second part. I am having a problem with how to graph the function. The whole question is:
The volume of a cylinder (think about the volume of a can) is given by V = πr2h where r is the radius of the cylinder and h is the height of the cylinder. Suppose the volume of the can is 100 cubic centimeters.
Write h as a function of r. Keep "pi" in the function's equation.
For that part I got 100/Pi(r)^2 = h
The second part says:
What is the measurement of the height if the radius of the cylinder is 2 centimeters? Round your answer to the nearest whole number. I got 8cm.
Then the last part says:
Graph this function
I am unsure how to graph the function to this problem. Thanks for your time.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
You have the function with U!
Its a rational function.
Remember graphing a linear function,
Using multiple x values to determine the y values, and use both x values and its y values as cordinates in the graph.
So U'r function is
h+=+100%2F%28Pi%2Ar%5E2%29
where h, and r are variables.
Substitude some values like -2,-1,1,2 for r. and evaluvate the h values.make a table of values.
Draw the graph with h into Y axis and r into x axis . You will get the graph. Its hyperbola shaped.
