Find the domain of the logarithmic function.
f(x) = ln (4x - x^2)
The natural log function is only defined for positive values of the argument.
The limiting values of x are obtained by factoring the expression and seting = 0:
x(4-x) = 0
This gives x = 0 , x = 4
So the domain is 0 < x < 4.

Hi,

4x - x^2 > 0 x > 0 AND 4-x >0 or 4 > x
Domain: 0 < x < 4
