Hello,
Let's have x be the width. The length will be 2x+7. Now we can set up the equation as:
x+x+(2x+7)+(2x+7)=26
Now combine like terms:
6x+14=26
Subtract 14 and divide 4 into both sides to get:
x=2 meters for the width and
11 meters for the length
