Question 17260: help.... I cant find the answer.
G= .067+.052 Log (M)
I tried subtracting .067 from both sides and got
G-.067 = .052 Log (M)
then dividing both sides by .052
to get (G-.067)/.052=Log M
then plugged it into my calculator and got the wrong answer.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Are you solving for M? If so, you are correct so far. I think you might want to do two more steps. Rirst, the clear those decimals, multiply both numerator and denominator by 1000. That might look nicer:
%28G-.067%29%2F.052=log%2810%2CM%29
+%281000G-67%29%2F52=log%2810%2CM%29+

Next,suing the basic definition of logarithms: +log%2810%2CM%29=+Y means 10%5EY=M
10%5E%28%281000G-67%29%2F52%29+=+M++

As an alternative, if you did NOT multiply numerator and denominator by 1000, you would get this:
10%5E%28%28G-.067%29%2F.052%29+=+M++

These answers should be the same. Do either of these look right?
