You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(a) What is the difference between log x and ln x and how are they related?
log x is the exponent of 10 that gives you a certain number, like 10^2 = 100
so log 100 = 2
------------
ln x is the exponent of e= 2.18281828459... which gives you a certain number,
like e^2 = 7.389056..., so ln 7.389056 = 2
=====================================================
(b) Describe the graph of an increasing exponential function and the graph of a decreasing exponential function.
increasing: as x increases, y increases
decreasing: as x increases, y decreases
----------------------------------------------
(c) Describe the graph of a function and its inverse
If (x,y) is a point of the function, (y,x) is a point of the inverse.
The graphs are symmetric to the line y = x.
