This problem has an OBVIOUS TRAP.



The trap is that in addition to excluded points, where the denominator is zero   // (as John had noticed),

the infinite set of points theta = pi%2F2+%2B+pi%2An, n = 0, +/-1. +/-2, . . . and so on also should be excluded from the number line

where the function tan%28theta%29 is not defined.
