In this video lesson I show the log base change formula and explain how it is used. The reason we need this formula is because most calculators only have a "log" and a "ln" button, so the only choices of bases are 10 and e. The log base change formula allows us to calculate the logarithm with any base in terms of log or ln. The log base change formula also lets us simplify many expressions involving logarithms, as I demonstrate in some examples. For more details, watch the video!
