Question 522263: two numbers are in a 3:4 ratio. if their sum is 35, find both numbers
I've tried adding 3 and 4 to make 7x than dividing it by 35, but that didn't work out so well. I've also tried putting 3:4 into a fraction and putting 35/x as a proportion, although that didn't work out so well either.
