You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Suppose that x is the height of K2
Then that makes Mt.Everest is x+237
Then you can put together a simple formula to solve for x
x+%2B+%28x%2B237%29+=+17%2C459
x+%2B+x+%2B+237+=+17%2C459
2x+%2B+237+=+17%2C459
2x+=+17%2C459-237
2x+=+17%2C222
x+=+17%2C222%2F2
x+=+8611
The height of K2 is 8,611 feet
The height of Mt.Everest is (8611 + 237) or 8848 feet

The numbers were truncated in the above solution, so writing the equations
x + x + 237 = 17459
2x + 237 = 17459
2x = 17222
x = 8611
