Step 1. Multiply to get rid of parenthesis.

4x%2B36%2Bx%5E2-x=6x%2Bx%5E2

Step 2. Rearranging the left side of the equation and combining like terms in x yields

x%5E2%2B3x%2B36=6x%2Bx%5E2

Step 3. Subtract x%5E2 from both sides of the equation.

x%5E2%2B3x%2B36-x%5E2=6x%2Bx%5E2-x%5E2

3x%2B36=6x

Step 4. Subtract 3x from both sides of the equation.
