Question 196329: Hi!
if I have the following information for a triangle:
a=16, b=20 angle B=40
is it possible to find the rest of the measurements ONLY using the law of Cosines (i.e. +a%5E2=b%5E2%2Bc%5E2+-+2+%2A+a+%2A+b+%2A+cos%28A%29%2C+etc...+ or do I HAVE to use the laws of Sines and other formulas?
If it is possible using only the laws of Cosines, please please show me how.
Thanks!

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Law of sines (SSA)
sin A/a=sin B/b
sin A/16=.6428/20
sin A=16*.6428/20
sin A=.5142
A=30.95
