You can put this solution on YOUR website!
A = (a + b)h/2 or A= 1/2 (a + b)h

Let h be the height. Let a and b be the parallel sides.

A trapezoid is a quadrilateral with only two sides parallel.
The area would be %281%2F2%29H%2A%28B%5B1%5D%2BB%5B2%5D%29 sq units
EXAMPLE:
B%5B1%5D=3+in and B%5B2%5D=7+in and H=4+in
%281%2F2%29%2A4%2A%283%2B7%29=20+in%5E2
Hope this helps!
