My response :   If so,  then  XY  is the hypotenuse;

            the shorter leg is half the hypotenuse,  i.e.  " a ";

            the longer leg is   a%2Asqrt%283%29,

but from the given data we still can not determine,  which one of the two legs is shorter,  and which is longer.
