The apothem of an equilateral triangle divides the triangle into two 30-60-90 right triangles. In an equilateral triangle, the side length is 2%2Fsqrt%283%29 times the length of the apothem.

Then find the area of the triangle using the standard formula one-half base times height:

Simplify and/or convert to decimal as required.
