Question 106382: I dont no if this is a Geometric Formula but this is my first time taking geomatry and it's all really new to me. So i hope someone might help. First and formost i don't understand what it means when they ask me to give an example of of the use of parallel lines in sports. And i also don't understand planes, and what they mean when they ask, " is A B and C coplaner? I dont no if someone can help but if you can get at me please. thankx.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
give an example of of the use of parallel lines in sports.
-------
The yard lines (10 yrds, 20yrds, 30yrds, etc) in football are
all parallel lines so no matter where the ball is on the field
the 1st down requirement is always the same distance.
-------------------
And i also don't understand planes, and what they mean when they ask, " is A B and C coplaner?
------
A, B, and C determine a plane if the points are not on a straight line.
Look at three points on the ceiling of the room you are in that are not
in a straight line. Those points are coplanar, meaning they are all in
the plane of the ceiling.
Examples of planes are the ceiling plane, the floor plane, each wall is
a plane etc.
