The negative numbers represent DEBT, while postive numbers represent money in your favor. You can add the negatives togther first -14+-20 + -43, which is a total of -77, then add +75. Since total debt is more than total money in your favor, subtract, and you have a total debt of 2 dollars, i.e., -2.
