18) 1/2(4d-2)=d+5
(4d-2)/2=d+5
2(2d-1)/2=d+5 now cancel the 2 in the denominator & numerator opf the fraction.
2d-1=d+5
2d-d=5+1
d=6 answer.
proof
(4*6-2)/2=6+5
(24-2)/2=11
22/2=11
11=11

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1/2(4d-2)=d+5
=> 2d-1=d+5 [multiply the 1/2]
=> d-1=5 [subtract d from both sides]
=> d=6 [add 1 to each sides]
so, d=6 is the answer.
