You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(3x+4) / (x+11) = 4/3
:
cross multiply fractions
:
3(3x+4) = 4(x+11)
:
9x+12 = 4x+44
:
5x = 32
:
x = 6.4
:
********************************************
the number is 6.4
:
check the answer by substituting for x
:
(3*6.4+4) / (6.4 + 11) = 4/3
:
23.2 / 17.4 = 4/3
:
(232/10) * (10/174) = 4/3
:
232/174 = 4/3
:
Note divide numerator and denominator by 58
