SOLUTION: Graph each of the following equations.
y = 3/4 x + 2
2x+ 3y = 6
2x - 3y = 12

Question 99252: Graph each of the following equations.
y = 3/4 x + 2
2x+ 3y = 6
2x - 3y = 12
All of these have a graph that I am supposed to use with the numbers. I have no idea how to "draw" a graph into Word, can any one help me with drawing the graph and solving the problem correctly?? Answer by checkley71(8403) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Y=3X/4+2 THIS IS A LINE EQUATION WITH A SLOPE OF 3/4 & A Y INTERCEPT OF (0,2)
NOW SET Y=0 & SOLVE FOR X
0=3X/4+2
3X/4=-2 NOW CROSS MULTIPLY
3X=-2*4
3X=-8
X=-8/3 OR THE POINT (-8/3,0).
NOW PLOT THESE TWO POINTS (0,2)&(-8/3,0) & DRAW A LINE THROUGH THEM WITH A SLOPE OF 3/4. (graph 300x200 pixels, x from -6 to 5, y from -10 to 10, y = 3x/4 +2).
