Determination of slope of 2x-3y=10
move 3y to the right
2x=10+3y
move 10 to the left
2x-10=3y
3y=2x-10
divide with 3 on both sides
3y%2F3+=%282x-10%29%2F3
+y=%282%2F3%29x-10%2F3
slope -intercept form y= mx+c
where m = slope
in the above equation , slope (m)= 2/3
slope point form : y-y1=m(x-x1)
++y+-%28-8%29=%282%2F3%29%28x-%2811%29%29
+y%2B8=%282%2F3%29%28x%2B11%29
%28y%2B8%29%2A3=2%28x%2B11%29
3y%2B24=2x%2B22
+24=2x-3y%2B22
+24-22+=2x-3y
2x-3y=2
Hence equation of lien 2x-3y=2

Parallel line would have the same left hand side, different right hand side.
2x-3y=D
Use the point to find D.
2%28-11%29-3%28-8%29=D
D=-22%2B24
D=2
2x-3y=2
