Put y by itself on the left, everything else on the right.
2x%2B18y=36
Subtract 2x from both sides.
2x-2x%2B18y=36-2x
18y=36-2x
Divide both sides by 18
%2818y%29%2F18=36%2F18-%282x%29%2F18
y=2-x%2F9
Re-arrange so that x is the leading term,
y=-x%2F9%2B2
