i'm not totally sure, but i think you would do the following:
factor out the common factor of 2xy to get:
2x^2*y^2 + 4*x*y = 2*x*y * (x*y + 2)
i don't believe it can be factored any more than that.
i did check online and the answer appears to be correct.
