Identify the simplest common denominator:
2%28y%2B1%29%28x%2B1%29%2A2
2%2A2%2A%28y%2B1%29%28x%2B1%29

Multiply left and right members by 2%2A2%28y%2B1%29%28x%2B1%29. This will allow to clear the denominators; and you can simplify from there.
