Let's look at the first problem 15%2Bb=4
Solve for b by subtracking 15 from each side of the equation.
+15%2Bb-15=4-15
+b=-11
Check by substituting the b value.
+15%2B%28-11%29=4 or 15-11=4
The next equation +c%2F14=-3 would be solved by multiplying 14 to each side.
+%2814%2F1%29%28c%2F14%29=-3%2814%29
+c=-42
Check -42%2F14=-3
The last equation -x%2F8=12 is solved similarily to the second problem.
Multiply each side by -8. (This will also remove the negative from the x)
+%28-8%2F1%29%28-x%2F8%29=12%28-8%29
+x=-96
Check -96%2F8=12
