You can put this solution on YOUR website!
just substitute and factor
2%2A%28x-y%29=8
We put in the 6 for the x value
The formula then becomes
2%2A%286-y%29=8
Now do the equation, multiply each factor on the left side by 2:
12-2y=8
Now subtract 12 from borth sides:
-2y=-4
divide out the -2 from both side of the equation: Remember a negative number divided by a negative number is a positive number.
y=2
Answer y = 2
