Question 93323: Logarithims
Please solve 2log(x)=log{3x/4}-1
Thanks in advance, this is not from a book. Answer by Nate(3500) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! 2log(x) = log(3x/4) - 1
log(x^2) = log(3x/4) - 1
log(x^2) = log(3x/4) - log(10)
log(x^2) = log(3x/40)
x^2 = 3x/40
x^2 - 3x/40 = 0
x(x - 3/40) = 0
x = 0 and x = 3/40
x can not equal zero ... so: x = 3/40
