The way I would do it is the multiply each side by -5%2F3. That isolates x.
-3%2F5x * -5%2F3 = x
4%2F5* -5%2F3 = -20%2F15 which reduces to -11%2F3
x = -11%2F3

Check:
-3%2F5* -11%2F3 = 12%2F15 which reduces to 4%2F5

multiply by 5
-3x=4
x=-4/3 or -1 1/3
