Get the x terms together on one side of the equation:
10x-12x%2B7=-13
Get the x terms alone on one side of the equation and simplify a bit:
-2x=-20
Solve for x:
highlight%28x=10%29
So, both your answers are wrong. Prove it to yourself by plugging the value of x back into the original equation and see if it holds true:
10%2810%29%2B7=12%2810%29-13
107=107
So, you know x=10 is the correct answer.
