Answer:
5(x-3)=20

Divide both sides of the equation by 5

==> +5%28x-3%29+%2F5+=+20%2F5


==> x-3 = 4

Add 3 on both sides of the equation....

==> x - 3 + 3 = 4 + 3

==> x = 7
