Answer:

10x – 4 – 5x = 6 + 3x – 8

Collect like terms together.....

==> 10x – 5x – 4 = 6 – 8 + 3x


==> 5x – 4 = -2 + 3x


Subtract 3x from both sides......



==> 5x – 4 - 3x = -2 + 3x - 3x


==> 5x - 3x - 4 = -2


==> 2x - 4 = - 2


Add 4 to both sides....



==> 2x - 4 + 4 = -2 + 4


==> 2x = 2


Divide both sides by 2


==> +2x%2F2+=+2%2F2+


==> x = 1

Check :

To check the solution, plugg the value of x in the given equation.....



==> 10* 1 – 4 – 5 * 1 = 6 + 3 * 1 – 8


==> 10 - 4 - 5 = 6 + 3 - 8



==> 6 - 5 = 9 - 1


==> 1 = 1
