Hi,

2(n-8)= 4n

 2n - 16 = 4n

     -16 = 2n     

      -8 = n

And..

 2%2A%28-16%29+=+4%28-8%29+=+-32

Let the number be "x":
2(x-8) = 4x
2x-16 = 4x
2x = -16
x = -8
