You can put this solution on YOUR website!
14 + 2x = -6 - 3x
Subtract 2x from each side of the equation.
14 + 2x - 2x = -6 - 3x - 2x
2x - 2x = 0
-3x - 2x = -5x
Therefore:
14 = -6 - 5x
Add 6 to each side of the equation.
14 + 6 = -6 - 5x + 6
14 + 6 = 20
-6 + 6 = 0
Therefore:
20 = -5x or
-5x = 20
Divide each side by -5
-5x/-5 = 20/-5
x = -4

Answer:
x = -4
