Question 8599: I am having the hardest time with this one. When I try to plug in x it does not work for this equation. Some one please let me know what I am doing wrong.
Here is how I got my answer and everything.
5x -(2x + 1) = 2 - 3(x + 2)
5x - 2x - 1 = 2 - 3x - 6
3x - 1= -3x -4
3x + 3x = -4 + 1
6x = -3
x = -3/6
x = -1/2
Is this right? Where did I go wrong? Answer by rapaljer(4671) (Show Source):
