In order to solve, you will need to get q by itself on the right side of the equation. To do this, first divide both sides of the equation by -3. When you do this, you will get:

15%2F-3=2q-1 ----->

-5=2q-1

Next, add 1 to both sides of the equation. This will give you:

-5%2B1=2q ----->

-4=2q

Finally, if you divide both sides of the equation by 2, you will get q:

-4%2F2=q ----->

-2=q
