3*8=24 man hours
24/5=4.8 hours

It takes 3 guys 8 hrs to finish a job
1 guy will take 3 times as long to do the same job, so
1 guy takes 24 hrs to finish the job

5 guys will take 1/5 of that time to do the same job, so
5 guys take +24%2F5+=+4.8+ hrs to finish the job
+.8%2A60+=+48+ minutes, so
5 guys take 4 hrs and 48 min to finish the same job
