Get the 5/x term alone on one side of the equation:
-5%2Fx=4-x
multiply each side of the equation by x to get that x out of the denominator:
-5=4x-x%5E2
Put the quadratic in standard for - i.e. equate to zero:
x%5E2-4x-5=0
Factor:

Equate each term to zero and solve for x:
