Factor with two terms, another factor with three terms, initially you get sum of five terms and then try to simplify from that.

Moving the square terms and the linear term
x%5E3%2Bx%5E2-2x%5E2-3x-2x%2B6
Combine like-terms
highlight%28x%5E3-x%5E2-5x%2B6%29

You just made a small arithmetic omission.
