Condition 1: x=y+3. Condition 2: x%5E2+=+y%5E2+%2B+99


Substitute x=y+3 into the second equation: %28y%2B3%29%5E2+=+y%5E2+%2B+99


y%5E2+%2B6y+%2B+9+=+y%5E2+%2B99 ---> (subtract y squared from both sides and subtract 9 from both sides): 6y = 90 ---> y = 15.


x = 15+ 3 = 18
