You can put this solution on YOUR website!
sqrt%285y%2B8%29=6
Square both sides:
%28sqrt%285y%2B8%29%29%5E2+=+6%5E2
Squaring a square root takes away
the radical:
5y%2B8=36
Subtract 8 from both sides
5y%2B8-8=36-8
5y+=+28
Divide both sides by 5
%285y%29%2F5=28%2F5
y=28%2F5
or if you prefer
y+=+5.6
