Multiply eqn (1) with -2 we have
(-2)(x + 5y = 10)
%28-2%29x+%2B+%28-2%295y+=+%28-2%2910
-2x+-+2%2A5y+=+-2%2A10
-2x+-+10y+=+-20
But this is same as equation (2).
So equations (1) & (2) are dependent.
